The crew are fun, friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious. The ship is large with loads of space to relax inside or out. The cabins are typically small – but the beds and the linens are clean and comfortable. Pack light- our 22″ suitcases slid under the bed. E- Bikes are available, as well as nice hybrid cruisers. The countryside is beautiful, and oh ! the wine! We learned a lot from a few different Chateau visits.

We are currently sitting at Paris airport awaiting our flight home. I just wanted you to know that we had the most WONDEFUL time on the barge and cycling trip. The staff on the Bordeaux were extremely friendly and helpful, the owners of the boat are locals from Bordeaux and very familiar with the region. The boat wasn’t too big – it only takes 80 guests max so we got to know everyone during the week and did not feel as though we got lost in a crowd.

Our tour guide Victor was just lovely – he was totally bilingual, paced each day on the bikes very well, generally gave us two or three different route options ( for those who wanted to cycle longer or shorter distances), stopped regularly for coffee breaks, took us to cute little cafes and to smaller, more artisan wineries and had a lovely easy going sense of humour. The scenery was superb – through vineyards, rolling hills, ancient stone villages, vegetable gardens and fields of colourful wildflowers. The scents of the climbing roses as we cycled through the villages nearly knocked me out!

The age group was between about 45 and 73 yo. About a quarter had e bikes. The food was ample and traditional Bordeaux dishes.

I would highly recommend this tour to my friends and anyone interested in having a memorable outdoor holiday in France!

A long overdue thank you for planning the perfect trip for our family.  It was absolutely amazing from start to finish.  The weather was warm, sunny, and perfect for biking.  The country roads, surrounded with miles of vineyards, and the canal bike paths were beautiful.  The small towns and villages were charming and delightful destinations; there was always an old castle or church to explore.  The picnic lunch that we packed each morning allowed us to experience a variety of « picnic » spots.  One day we were on the steps of the University of Bordeaux; another day sitting along the Garonne River in St. Macaire.

The boat, with just our family plus another couple, was terrific.  We got to know the crew quite well– actually, all on the boat became one big family.  It was the trip of a life-time for all 15 of us.  Everyday a grandchild would come up to me and say, « Mema, this is the best trip I’ve ever been on.  I am having so much fun. »  From the youngest, at age 12, to the oldest at 78, we are left with memories that will never be forgotten

So, thank you for all you did to make it possible.  And, the Trip Site vests were terrific.  I was often riding in the rear and I could look ahead and see a whole line of yellow vests.  We all agreed that they were a good thing to wear.

We are looking ahead to 2019 and hoping to do another bike and boat trip.  You did a wonderful job for us and, I will hope to work with you again.
